Deer Park Lions Club Services

Deer Park Lions Club provides many services to the community surrounding Smallwood and Gamber. Our vision related service includes eye glass collection boxes, providing eyeglass exams and eyeglasses for those in need- particularly those on fixed income- contributions to the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Clinic for vision research, and more. If- for example- family circumstances land you in need of a wheelchair for a week, we have an inventory of hospital equipment available. We contribute to local fire companies, local Little League teams, local Boy Scouts. We provide rewards to Carroll County Career and Technology Center graduates each year. We take part in the Maryland State Highway Department's adopt a highway plan by cleaning Rt 91 from Gamber to the park-n-ride. Even some of our fund raising events might be seen as a service to the community- the Smallwood Festival in particular.
